Planning a wedding can be a daunting task, but Jacob and Quinn's black and white classic summer wedding at Arlington Acres shows how simplicity and elegance can create a magical day. With a timeless black and white color scheme, their celebration was a beautiful blend of tradition and modern elements. From the touching proposal to their choice of venue, every detail of their wedding reflected their unique love story. Read on to discover how this couple crafted their dream wedding and the moments that made it unforgettable.

How They Met

Jacob and Quinn first crossed paths back in high school at the St. Mary's Festival. What started as a teenage romance blossomed into a lasting connection, leading them to date for a couple of years. Although their paths diverged for a while after high school, fate brought them back together in 2020 after college. For two years, they managed a long-distance relationship, finally moving in together in 2022.

The Proposal

Jacob and Quinn's engagement story is unique and perfectly reflects their spontaneous spirit. They had discussed getting engaged towards the end of 2022 and knew they wanted a short engagement period. So, they promptly began looking for wedding venues. The proposal happened in February, catching Quinn completely off guard. Jacob suggested they celebrate his new job opportunity with drinks at The Renaissance. Little did she know, he had orchestrated a surprise proposal. As they stepped outside, he popped the question! To top it off, he had arranged for both their families to be waiting at The Empire across the street to celebrate. It was a moment of perfect timing and joy, especially since Quinn's first dress shopping appointment was just two days later.

Choosing Arlington Acres

When Jacob and Quinn began planning their wedding, they knew they wanted to stay close to Tiffin. Arlington Acres caught Quinn's eye during an online search. Although they didn’t have a set date, the venue’s availability helped them decide. They loved that Arlington Acres offered various spaces for every part of their day, from getting ready to the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Its versatile setup allowed them to create their perfect day all in one place.

The Wedding Venue Selection Process

The process of choosing Arlington Acres was straightforward and stress-free for Jacob and Quinn. They scheduled a visit, and upon seeing Arlington Acres in person, Quinn knew it was the perfect spot. Jacob had only seen photos and experienced the venue for the first time on their wedding day, which added an extra layer of excitement. Arlington Acres was the only venue they visited because it checked all their boxes and more. The dressing rooms were perfect for getting ready, the patio suited their summer wedding, and their guests enjoyed dancing outside.

Their Vision for the Day

Jacob and Quinn's vision for the wedding was simple and classic, focused on a black and white color scheme with floral accents. They also wanted to include their dog in the celebration, and Arlington Acres was fantastic about accommodating this. She played a special role in their ceremony and was present at the beginning of their reception. Their love for her was even reflected in the details, with her image on their cake and a special drink at the bar named "on Greta."
