About Arlington Acres

We never planned to be wedding venue owners — but sometimes, life leads you exactly where you’re meant to be.

We started Arlington Acres with the dream of restoring the barn on our family farm and sharing that beautiful legacy with others. What began as a labor of love on the family farm has grown into something much bigger — a place where stories are written, laughter echoes through barn beams, and generations connect in celebration.

Since opening in 2019, Arlington Acres has happily hosted over 100+ weddings and events and welcomed more than 20,000 guests with consistently glowing reviews. Long before that, this farm was simply home —  with the help of our parents, siblings, and friends, we transformed our peaceful corner of the farm into a place where couples could gather with loved ones, raise a glass, and celebrate love in its truest form.

What makes Arlington Acres truly special is the personal connection we share with every couple. You’re never just another name on the calendar — we genuinely care about your story and your experience. Every beam and brick in our barn carries history, preserved with care and intention to honor the legacy of those who came before us. As a family-run venue, we treat each wedding as if it were our own celebration, ensuring every detail reflects warmth, authenticity, and love.

If you’re considering Arlington Acres for your wedding, we want you to know this: We are here to serve you.  We’ll walk with you every step of the way to ensure your wedding is unique, joyful, and unforgettable. It’s a deep honor to be trusted with one of the most meaningful days of your life — and we hold that privilege with great care.

Nestled on a working farm in northwest Ohio, just outside of Tiffin, Arlington Acres is surrounded by fields of pumpkins, corn, soybeans, wheat, sunflowers, and honeybees that are still a part of our family  farm. The barn at Arlington Acres was originally built in 1878 by Civil War veteran Arlington Dunn, who used it as part of the homestead he established here. An archive honoring our farm’s namesake, Arlington Dunn, can even be found at the Rutherford B. Hayes Museum and Presidential Library in nearby Fremont, Ohio.

Our family purchased the property from the Dunn family in the 1970s, and when it came time to name the barn, it only felt right to honor its history — and its original builder — by calling it Arlington Acres.  You can read more about Arlington Dunn on our blog here

In 2019, we, John and Sarah Bolte, began restoring the barn to its former glory while thoughtfully transforming it into a wedding venue. Our restoration efforts were honored in 2022, when Arlington Acres received Heritage Ohio’s Historic Farmstead of the Year Award.
