Wedding Guest Resources

Welcome to Arlington Acres!  We're excited to have you join us at the barn to celebrate here soon.

Here are a few things we think you might want to know about the barn and our farm in advance of wedding day.

Accessibility

The barn was built in the 1878 and was not built with wedding guest accessibility in mind. We have done our best to make it more accommodating for all guests.

All new additions to the barn are handicap accessible, these include the white pavilion, restrooms, and getting ready suites. If you worry about the hill getting into the historic barn, we have two sets of stairs (with railings) and a golf cart that can be used to carry guests up and down the hill.

There is also the ability to drop elderly guests or those that need assistance off in the grass near the outdoor ceremony site or directly onto the back patio through the gate in our fence. Please do not drive on our grass to drop guests off as it could damage our septic system.

Agritourism

Arlington Acres is an operational farm and is considered an agritourism facility per ORC 901.80. Please be respectful of the crops in our fields and any farm equipment you may come across.

WARNING: Under Ohio law, there is no liability for an injury to or death of a participant in an agritourism activity conducted at this agritourism location if that injury or death results from the inherent risks of that agritourism activity. Inherent risks of agritourism activities include, but are not limited to, the risk of injury inherent to land, equipment, and animals as well as the potential for you as a participant to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to your injury or death. You are assuming the risk of participating in this agritourism activity.

Apparel

The barn does not have air-conditioning or heat in our ceremony or reception spaces. We recommend dressing for the weather! We do have fans that are used in the summer or hot days. Our couples also have the option to add propane patio heaters in the white pavilion and the patio for those early spring or fall dates that can be chilly. If it is anticipated to be cooler, please bring layers!

Hotels

We are within a few minutes of two great hotels in Tiffin. More info can be found here.

Parking

Parking is in a grass lot across from the barn. The lot is flagged and well marked.
