How They Met

The Proposal

Ethan's proposal was nothing short of magical. It happened at Twin Oast Brewery in Port Clinton, Ohio, a place that held a special significance to both Samantha and Ethan. It was where they had their very first date in June of 2019. On that particular evening, they rented an igloo for a romantic date night. Unbeknownst to Samantha, Ethan had been secretly planning the proposal for months. As they enjoyed drinks, pizza, and laughter, Ethan surprised Samantha by getting down on one knee inside the igloo, a moment of pure serendipity. The igloo was located next to the very Oast where they had their first date. The night was filled with tears of joy and phone calls to share their happiness with family and friends.

A Spring Wedding in the Barn

Samantha and Ethan chose to add Friday onto their Saturday wedding with our Two Day Wedding Package. This allowed them to really take their time and just enjoy the wedding weekend!

“Our wedding weekend was incredibly stress-free thanks to Arlington Acres and the amazing vendors that they suggested. We decided to add on the additional hours to decorate on Friday which I would recommend to anyone who has lots to set up for their big day. We loved that this was offered and was well worth the extra money so that we did not have to decorate the morning of. Sarah was there the entire time to help us and to listen to our questions and ideas. She helped make sure that our ideas were transformed into what we wanted. “Saturday morning was an absolute dream. The ladies all got ready in the adorable bridal suite and the men all gathered in the groom's suite for the morning as well. These are such nice spaces and our hair stylist and makeup artists loved the amount of room and set up of the bridal suite. The Rustic Barn Ceremony

Samantha and Ethan celebrated their wedding at Arlington Acres on a beautiful spring day. They didn’t want to take the chance of a spring rain shower, so they took advantage of our multiple indoor spaces and chose to celebrate their wedding ceremony in the old barn.

“I love how hands on Sarah and John were throughout our wedding planning. Sarah had given us many opportunities to visit the farm throughout our wedding planning. She had open houses and offered opportunities to meet with vendors who we could book for our wedding. Sarah was constantly available to bounce ideas off of or to ask questions to. They have a wedding website and portal that you belong to once you book with them. This portal made it so easy to plan out and get organized for our day.
